She Reads Books & My Very First GIVEAWAY!

Do you love getting wrapped up in a good book?

I always have! Shortly after I had my second baby, I realized that it had been quite some time (possibly a few years) since I had picked up a good book. I set a very un-SMART New Year's Resolution to "read more books" in 2014. I started using my fringe hours more purposefully. 

The student in me was stirred! Of the 43 books I've picked up since that un-SMART goal, I've finished 33, started but put down 8 that I couldn't get into, skimmed through 2, and added a couple to the read annually list. 

I love reading and recommending. I love connecting a friend to a book that was written just for them. And since we're friends, I have a surprise for you! 

On February 1st, I'm excited to bring you my very first book review. I am now a book reviewing blogger with B&H Publishing group. In exchange for my honest opinion, they give me the books for free. (And you know I love a good freebie!) From now on the first Wednesday of each month will be what I'm reading, recommend and/or are reviewing. 

My number one favorite book of all time is the Bible. I read it daily and love to linger there as long as possible. It's the only book that is ALIVE and 100% true. It's the benchmark for everything else I read. My hope is that the books I share here will ultimately point you to the Word Himself and make truth easy to understand and apply. 

There's nothing quite like the power of a well-timed book! I hope to be able to connect you with some well-timed books in your own life. 

On the first Wednesday in February (two weeks from today), I'll be reviewing one of these books you see here!
