If this were my real living room, I'd invite you to step over the toys, shove aside the pile of unfolded (hopefully clean) laundry on the couch and have a seat. Kids would continually interrupt while we sipped on our once hot beverages and began 37 soon to be unfinished conversations.
But we would talk about life– the sweet, the hard, the messy, about Jesus and what He's doing in our hearts and lives through relationships and circumstances– and we would both feel refreshed and reminded to fix our eyes on Him.
Because that's what happens when you see everyday life against the canvas of the Truth– you are refreshed. It's just that sometimes we forget to remember. I need to be continually reminded of the Truth, and in case you do too, pull up a seat!
